Bethlehem Kifle Desta: “My paintings invite viewers to look beyond the surface and discover the stories hidden within the colors”
(link to Polis magazine)

“Artistic Creation” is an inspiring collective that promotes innovative art and supports artists in expressing their unique visions.

What are your feelings based on the theme of the “Colors Unfold Stories” Exhibition? The theme “Colors Unfold Stories” deeply resonates with me. I believe that colors are not just visual elements but carriers of emotions and narratives. Each hue and shade in my paintings is chosen deliberately to convey a specific story or sentiment. The exhibition is an exploration of how colors can communicate complex emotions and experiences without the need for words.

Do you know “Artistic Creation”? Have you worked with Gilda Frumkin again? Yes, I am familiar with “Artistic Creation.” It is an inspiring collective that promotes innovative art and supports artists in expressing their unique visions. I had the pleasure of working with Gilda Frumkin during a collaborative project a few years ago. Her creative energy and insightful perspective were truly inspiring, and I would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with her again in the future.

What color do you identify with as an artist? As an artist, I identify with the color blue. To me, blue represents depth, introspection, and tranquility. It is a versatile color that can evoke a range of emotions from calm and serenity to melancholy and mystery. Blue often appears in my work as a symbol of inner exploration and emotional depth.

Art and Creativity #2

Beyond the previous art exhibitions organized by the Voula Cultural Association "Hypatia" in various venues, this year marks the third consecutive year it is hosting a fall exhibition at the Voula Spiritual Center. This fall exhibition is gradually becoming an institution in the southern suburbs, fostering a creative dialogue among the many forms of art created in the region and beyond. Hence, last year's exhibition was titled "Art and Creativity."

This year, there will be an emphasis on the art of photography, as well as painting, sculpture, iconography, ceramics, jewelry, and more.

The exhibition "Art and Creativity #2," organized by the Voula Cultural Association "Hypatia" (President Iphigenia Amorgianou) at the Voula Spiritual Center, is proof that where there is creative spirit, there are many ways in which it can manifest and be channeled. It is also an opportunity for a gathering and creative dialogue among the artists of the broader southern suburbs and beyond.

Group Painting Exhibition of thirty students of the painter Gilda Frumkin

Thirty students of the painter Gilda Frumkin fully 'expose' their teacher! They testify why and how she transforms them into Creators with the magic of Freedom.

Freedom exists in True Art because it is synonymous with Beauty, that is, with Forms, with True Beings that we perceive with the Gaze, not with sight.

Thus, with their works, they will show the audience what we lose because we confuse Form with shape, with outlines, with lifeless descriptive painting.

In Gilda's workshop, you are freed from the slavish imitation of the 'real' or the pseudo-freedom of its denial. Such different subjects, yet Joy, Love, and Freedom make all the works exude Creation

Not only will the pleasure of Painting be offered. The lucky visitor will indirectly experience the Happiness that exists behind this artistic group.
